LEED commissioning

LEED commissioning

Commissioning assures a project owner that all energy related systems are installed, calibrated, and functioning as the owner and design engineers intended. Fundamental commissioning of building energy-consuming systems is mandatory for LEED NC v2.2 certification while enhanced commissioning earns an extra point. We provide commissioning as a quality control measure to maximize energy efficiency and occupant satisfaction.

New Moon Foundation Center

This 4,000 square foot facility is attempting LEED NC v2.2 Platinum certification. Located in Kapaau, Hawaii, this project features on-site hydroelectricity generation, photovoltaic panels, natural ventilation, and low flow plumbing fixtures. AMEL Technologies, Inc. is providing LEED project coordination, energy modeling, and fundamental commissioning services for this project. Project is ongoing.

Volcano Village Art and Education Center

AMEL Technologies, Inc. is providing LEED project coordination, fundamental commissioning, and mechanical engineering design services for this 5,000 square foot education facility in Volcano Village, Hawaii. The facility seeks LEED NC v2.2 Gold certification and will feature radiant floor heating, solar water heating, photovoltaic panels, rainwater catchment, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and natural ventilation. Project is ongoing.

The Nature Conservancy, Hawaii

The Nature Conservancy's main Hawaii office located in downtown Honolulu is a 13,000 square foot building featuring photovoltaic panels, low flow plumbing fixtures, a 'green cleaning' policy that promotes the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, and 'sustainable purchasing' policy. A recently completed HVAC renovation realized a 40% reduction in building energy use. AMEL Technologies, Inc. is providing LEED project coordination, fundamental commissioning, and mechanical design services for this project. The Nature Conservancy was awarded LEED EB O&M Silver certification.
